The next meeting of the working group on interaction with system-forming organizations that affect employment and social stability in the Komi Republic was devoted to the results of production and economic activities of Gazprom Transgaz Ukhta LLC for 2020 and plans for 2021.

Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Komi Irina Bakhtina held a meeting with the participation of the financial, economic, environmental and social blocks of the Government of the Komi Republic, representatives of control and supervisory bodies.

According to Alexander Gaivoronsky, General Director of Gazprom Transgaz Ukhta, gas transit decreased slightly last year and amounted to 173.4 billion cubic meters, respectively, revenue from gas transportation services decreased. At the same time, the company's payments to the consolidated budget of the Komi Republic for 2020 increased by 13% and exceeded 1.6 billion rubles.

The planned indicators of production and economic activity for 2021 look optimistic, and a return to pre-pandemic transit volumes and revenue is projected.

The company's investment program in 2020 allowed the commissioning of the second compressor shop at the Chikshinskaya station of the Bovanenkovo – Ukhta - 2 main gas pipeline with a capacity of 96 MW. In 2021, it is planned to put into operation the compressor stations "Sosnogorskaya", "Novosindorskaya", "Novomikunskaya" of the main gas pipeline "Ukhta – Torzhok - 2"with a total capacity of 250 MW, the construction of 18.3 km of the gas pipeline-branch and the gas distribution station "Vorkuta-2".

In order to prevent the spread of the coronavirus at the enterprise, serious organizational changes were made to the work. To a greater extent, this affected shift personnel. Six temporary accommodation facilities were opened, medical support was provided, and tests for the presence of the virus and antibodies were conducted.

Speaking about the cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Komi and PJSC Gazprom on the implementation of social and environmental programs, Alexander Gaivoronsky noted that in Ukhta, the premises of polyclinic No. 2 were renovated, where a PCR laboratory was established, the inter-territorial maternity hospital, children's hospital, city hospital No. 1 were overhauled,and work was started in the physiotherapy clinic. In the autumn of last year, an updated Children's Park was opened, the reconstruction of the building of the Center for Creativity named after G. Karchevsky, which is planned to be introduced by the 100th anniversary of the republic, continues.

This year, the company is working on the creation of a recreation area on the basis of the natural monument "Paraskin Lakes" near Ukhta with the organization of recreation areas and an ecological trail. The reconstruction of the ski and sports base "Radiance of the North" with sports grounds and a ski slope continues. The base is actively used by residents of Ukhta and Ukhta district all year round.

In addition, the management of Gazprom Transgaz Ukhta LLC initiates the creation of infrastructure for cycling in Ukhta. While bike paths are laid on the Embankment of Gazovikov and in the children's park, the plans, with the support of the authorities, to allocate and designate such paths on wide avenues and streets of the city.

Summing up the meeting, Irina Bakhtina highly appreciated the role of Gazprom Transgaz Ukhta in the implementation of the strategy of socio-economic development of the republic, as well as the company's serious contribution to the creation of medical, educational, sports and tourism infrastructure that improves the quality of life of Komi residents.
