The company "Luzales" with the support of the Ministry of Economic Development and Industry of the Republic of Komi has successfully completed the implementation of the investment project "Construction of wood processing infrastructure facilities for deep processing of wood, with the creation of bioenergy installations". Official confirmation was received from the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.

Luzales started implementing the project in 2016. During this period, the company invested almost one and a half billion rubles in the project. A full-scale modernization of the existing sawmill woodworking capacities of the enterprise was carried out, a production facility for processing wood waste into biofuels (wood pellets) and a boiler house for wood waste were created in the villages of Kyddzyavidz and Chovyu.

In Kyddzyavidze, a sawmill building with engineering communications was built, a sawmill wood processing plant was created, complete with a round timber sorting line, a drying chamber and a solid fuel water heating unit, and a pellet production shop building with engineering communications was built. In Chovyu, a sawmill building with engineering communications was built, and the sawmill wood processing plant was modernized by replacing outdated equipment with more productive ones.

The project created 830 new jobs. Also, as part of the investment project, the company has built more than 140 km of year-round and seasonal roads, despite the fact that only 25 km were originally planned. Modern logging machines, equipment, and vehicles were purchased.
