On January 25, the Permanent Representation of the Republic of Komi in Moscow held talks with representatives of Iranian business community. The foreign delegation was headed by Farhad Parand, Trade Adviser of Iran in Moscow. The meeting was attended by Rinat Golda, Senior Deputy Permanent Representative of the Republic of Komi to the President of the Russian Federation, Leonid Shurygin, Chief of the International and Business Cooperation Unit, Igor Nekrasov, Adviser to the Secretariat of the Head of the Komi Republic and other staff of the Permanent Representation.

"It is very gratifying that Iran takes an active part not only in meetings of the Club (the Club of Trade and Economic Missions (departments of embassies) of foreign countries accredited in Moscow) but also outside it, interacting and cooperating with the Republic of Komi” - Rinat Golda said.

Representatives of Iranian companies with international experience in industrial facilities construction in Europe and CIS were invited to consider a possibility of participating in a number of investment projects in the Republic of Komi.

"Political and economic relations between our countries are at a high level of development. We hope for further successful cooperation with the Republic of Komi"- Farhad Parand stated.

*** The Club of Trade and Economic Missions (departments of embassies) of foreign countries accredited in Moscow was established on the initiative of Head of the Komi Republic Sergey Gaplikov and Rector of Plekhanov Russian Economic University Viktor Grishin. The Club meetings have been held since 2016.
