On February 14, Gazprombank, the Republic of Komi, the Arkhangelsk Region and Belkomur Interregional Company signed an agreement on cooperation in the construction of the Arkhangelsk-Syktyvkar-Solikamsk railway during the Russian Investment Forum in Sochi.

The document was signed by Sergey Gaplikov, Head of the Republic of Komi, Igor Orlov, Governor of the Arkhangelsk Region, Vladimir Shchelokov, Director General of Belkomur, and Alexey Belous, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Gazprombank.

According to the agreement, the parties intend to achieve long-term, effective and mutually beneficial cooperation in developing and implementing Belkomur railway project. In particular, the document provides for the participation of Gazprombank as a supplier of banking and other financial and / or non-financial services.

Along with the construction of Barentskomur and Karaskomur, Belkomur will contribute to the significant growth of the Northern Sea Route freight traffic. In the long term, the project will provide the transcontinental connection between the northern ports and the Pacific Ocean ports, as well as to enter international markets in the West and the East.
