On January 25, the Permanent Representation of the Republic of Komi in Moscow held talks with representatives of Iranian business community. The foreign delegation was headed by Farhad Parand, Trade Adviser of Iran in Moscow. The meeting was attended by Rinat Golda, Senior Deputy Permanent Representative of the Republic of Komi to the President of the Russian Federation, Leonid Shurygin, Chief of the International and Business Cooperation Unit, Igor Nekrasov, Adviser to the Secretariat of the Head of the Komi Republic and other staff of the Permanent Representation.

The Head of the Republic of Komi was on a working visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain. Headed by Sergey Gaplikov, a delegation from the region, consisting of representatives of government and business, held a number of meetings and negotiations on the implementation of investment projects in Komi with Arab partners.

The document was signed by Head of the Republic of Komi Sergey Gaplikov and the deputy of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, the Special Representative of the President of Russia for International Cooperation in the Arctic and Antarctic, the President of the Association Artur Chilingarov. The signing ceremony took place at the VII International Forum The Arctic: Present and Future held on December 4-6 in St. Petersburg.

Today the Government of the Republic of Komi and the Central Research Institute of Paper concluded a memorandum dedicated to cooperation, interaction and activities in the project on construction of enterprises for wood resources value-added chemical processing in the Republic of Komi. The document was signed by Sergey Gaplikov, Head of the Republic of Komi and Yevgeny Tyurin, Director General of the JSC TsNIIB.

During the working trip to Sosnogorsk District, the Head of the Republic of Komi assessed the quality of the road cover, got a report on the work done, and thanked the specialists of the road construction company for the putting the site into operation a year earlier.

Proposals of the Head of the Republic of Komi to develop the Vorkuta Backbone Zone and the Arctic Zone of the Russian Federation are included in the minutes of the State Commission for Arctic Development Presidium meeting. Head of the Republic of Komi Sergey Gaplikov participated in the "Prague Business Meetings" financial and economic forum of the countries of the CIS and Europe, which has completed its work. In addition to the forum official program participation, a number of promising negotiations with representatives of the financial and banking sector of different countries was held. In particular, Sergey Gaplikov met representatives of Arab states, Switzerland, the CIS Financial and Banking Council, and the Banking Association of Central and Eastern Europe.

A memorandum on cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Komi and the International Bank for Economic Cooperation was signed within the framework of the "Prague Business Meetings" international financial and economic forum. The document was ratified by Head of the Republic of Komi Sergey Gaplikov and Chairman of the Board of the International Economic Bank Irina Golovchenko.

The head of the region took part in the "Prague Business Meetings" international financial and economic forum, which was held on 22-25 of June in Prague. Representatives of the largest financial, commercial, investment companies from Europe and the CIS gathered at the forum to discuss new formats for economic cooperation in the current geopolitical realities.
